Swedish massage therapy is to relax and release body tension. This is accomplished by massaging the muscles with different strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Before and during your Swedish Massage therapy session, communication is encouraged by your professional massage therapist so that your massage is customized to your specific needs. Treatment 60 or 90 minutes.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones to warm up tight muscles so he or she can work on pressure points and problem areas to alleviate tension and stress. Hot stones may either be placed on the body or used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, which allows the therapist to work more deeply. Treatment 90 minutes.
Cupping is done by placing a glass or a plastic cup onto the skin. The therapist creates a vacuum in the cup which draws the skin, muscle, and fascia up into the cup. This vacuum can be treated with either a hand suction cup (Flash Cupping) or a burning cotton wool ball (Fire Cupping). Cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite. There is a $15 up charge to any massage therapy treatment for Cupping.
Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, and ears. Massaging these reflex points, that correspond to different body organs and systems, creates real benefits for the person’s health. Treatment 60 or 90 minutes includes 30 minutes massage.
Salt and Mud Wrap
The body is massaged with sea salts, which improves poor circulation, and then wrapped in a selected mud wrap. Mud wraps cover the skin in mud for a short or longer period. The mud causes sweating and can promote slim and tone body, hydrate or firm the skin, relax and sooth muscles, or detox depending on treatment selected. Treatments 120 minutes includes a 60 minute massage.
Integrated massage can include different modalities in the massage therapy service. Hot stone, Cupping, Swedish Massage, Reflexology, AromaTouch, or CranioSacral modalities used will be based on the client’s best interest.
